I have been head of our Legal Counsel Service since its infancy. I am an in-house lawyer by background and instinct, but I’ve also done the ‘big law’ thing as a corporate lawyer (I was persuaded to go on secondment to a client and forgot to go back).  I have worked in sectors as diverse as civil nuclear, heavy engineering, high technology, and fashion, and have extensive experience supporting management on the ground to find practical solutions that support business.

I enjoy getting to know each client’s business, and in that way best support their business throughout its life cycle.

My role is to facilitate business and not to get in the way of it. It’s really as simple as that.

What gives me the most satisfaction is seeing our clients grow and prosper and playing a part in that.
